Professional Mentoring

At MyGov Connection, we offer cohort style mentoring designed to help students and young professionals build lasting professional relationships in the homeland security and national security industries. Our mentoring sessions are led by experienced mentors from across these industries, each with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share.

The cohort style mentoring sessions are designed to provide personalized guidance and support to groups of up to 10 participants. These sessions are not one on one but instead allow participants to build strong relationships with the same group of 10 individuals in their industry.

The mentoring cohorts meet once a month for an hour, providing participants with valuable insights and expertise on a wide range of topics related to the homeland and national security industry. In between meetings, participants have access to their mentors via email to continue the conversation and seek guidance on specific challenges or questions they may have.

The idea behind our cohort style mentoring is similar to that of many graduate degree programs. By building strong relationships with the same group of individuals over time, participants have the opportunity to build a trusted professional network that they can leverage for referrals to different opportunities throughout their career.
